What Anantaya is known for

A design store selling tableware, lighting, decor, and furniture that combines traditional craft processes with contemporary design. Ayush Kasliwal and Geetanjali Kasliwal created the store.

Anantaya is a Jaipur design house founded by the husband-and-wife team Ayush and Geetanjali Kasliwal, who built the business around collaboration with master artisans across India rather than factory production. The company's stated philosophy holds that objects carry memory, becoming, when shaped with purpose, "vessels of meaning, culture, and quiet impact." Its collections span tableware, lighting, furniture and home decor, produced using natural, responsibly sourced materials and rooted in centuries-old regional craft traditions reinterpreted for contemporary use. The Kasliwals' work has drawn sustained recognition: Anantaya has received the UNESCO Seal of Excellence on four separate occasions, the World Craft Council Award of Excellence in 2022, and was named Craft Brand of the Year the same year. Ayush Kasliwal individually holds an EDIDA Designer of the Year title (2013) and a Lexus Design Award (2019), while Geetanjali Kasliwal has received the COWE India Excellence Award (2022) and recognition from FICCI FLO for women's entrepreneurship. In 2018, Architectural Digest named the practice among the 100 Most Influential Design Firms in the Indian Subcontinent. The Jaipur store operates from the Narain Niwas Palace complex, pairing the Kasliwals' design-led approach with the city's living craft economy of block carvers, metalworkers and weavers.
