Art of Guitar operates out of The Courtyard, a converted warehouse arts complex on Street 6A in Al Quoz 1, Dubai's industrial gallery district. Founded to fill what The National described as a gap in the region's vintage and high-end guitar market, the shop combines retail with a working museum feel, mixing rare vintage instruments, amplifiers and effects pedals with modern Custom Shop and Masterbuilt models from Fender, Gibson and boutique brands like Rickenbacker. Staff describe over 150 years of combined experience sourcing and selling guitars. The store also functions as a small gallery, displaying guitar-related art, and runs guitar-building workshops led by in-house luthier Basil Azizoghly, alongside a published trade-in program for players looking to sell or swap instruments. Its Al Quoz setting places it among a cluster of galleries and independent studios in the district's warehouse spaces, distinct from Dubai's mall-based retail.
