What Asgharali Perfumes is known for
Founded by Asghar Ali in Bahrain in 1919 and dated by the brand to 1924, Asgharali now runs more than 100 outlets across the Gulf and South Asia, selling sprays, attars, oud and bakhoor under son Saleem Asghar Ali's later leadership.
Asgharali traces its start to 1919, when founder Asghar Ali began selling his fragrances in Bahrain; by 1924, the date the brand now uses as its founding year, the business had taken on a settled identity as a Bahraini perfume house. Ali's son, Saleem Asghar Ali, later took over leadership and expanded the company into a regional operation — he received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 recognizing his role integrating Bahrain's South Asian community as well as his business leadership. From that Bahrain base, Asgharali now sells sprays, oil attars, oud and bakhoor across more than 100 retail and franchise outlets in the Gulf and South Asia, with over 40 distributors carrying the brand as far as Eastern Europe and South America. The range spans price points deliberately: inexpensive charcoal and bakhoor sit alongside premium natural-oud attars and full eau de parfum lines, sold through a Shopify storefront priced in Bahraini dinars with free local delivery on modest orders. A century after Asghar Ali's first fragrances reached Bahrain, the company his son grew into a multi-country distributor still operates as a family business rather than one absorbed into a larger conglomerate.
