What Bisbee Coffee Company is known for

Rob Page founded Bisbee Coffee Company in 1996 and still roasts beans to order from Copper Queen Plaza, sourcing globally for nearly three decades. Its named blends, Busker's, Miner's and Blues, echo the former mining town's identity.

Bisbee Coffee Company was founded in 1996 by Rob Page, who has spent close to three decades since then traveling to source beans and training other roasters in the craft. That hands-on philosophy shows up in the company's own description of what a good roast means: "the perfect roast isn't defined by color, but by the point where each coffee speaks with clarity, balance, and authenticity" — a standard aimed at flavor over appearance. Ly Nguyen, co-founder of the nonprofit RGServices, now roasts alongside Page, bringing a second set of hands to a roastery still guided by the same attention-first approach it started with.

The lineup runs from single-origin lots — Mexican Chiapas, Tanzanian Peaberry, Guatemala SHB EP Huehuetenango — to named house blends: Busker's Blend, Miner's Blend and Blues Blend, names that lean into Bisbee's identity as a former mining town turned arts destination. Every bag is roasted to order rather than pulled from standing inventory, and the company ships free within the US on orders of three bags or more.

Custom label bags, where customers can upload their own artwork, round out a small operation that has stayed rooted in Copper Queen Plaza since the mid-90s while building a reach well beyond Bisbee, Arizona.
