Braasi Industry

Braasi Industry began as a side project of two architects, Eliška and Šimon, who met while studying at the Technical University in Liberec. Working alongside their own architecture practice, the pair started making backpacks for themselves and friends in their spare time, drawing on a shared interest in the functional, stripped-back gear used by 1980s-era climbers. As demand grew beyond their immediate circle, the side project developed into a standalone brand, now based in a workshop in Prague's Holešovice district, where design and production are carried out together rather than split across separate facilities. The pair's architectural training shows in the resulting products: a self-described "less is more" design language applied to backpacks, bags and urban clothing, built from materials chosen for durability and weather resistance, including cotton, Italian cowhide, and military-grade, waterproof Cordura fabric. Rather than chasing seasonal trends, Braasi's catalog stays close to a small set of core silhouettes refined over time, and the company has since expanded from bags into city bicycles designed with the same minimalist, function-first approach. The Holešovice workshop remains open for personal collection of orders, keeping the brand's retail identity tied directly to the place where its products are made.
