Bric's

Bric's was founded in 1952 by Mario Briccola in the area around Lake Como in northern Italy; the brand's name is an acronym drawn from his surname. Briccola began by handcrafting bags and suitcases himself, and the company traces its identity to his early focus on material quality and construction. In 1965 he built a larger production unit employing around 150 people, and in 1968 the Bric's brand was formally created and registered for the Italian market. The company began expanding abroad in 1992, opening distribution operations in four additional countries. Bric's remains family-owned and is now run by Briccola's sons, daughters and grandchildren, continuing to manufacture travel bags, suitcases and leather goods from its base near Como rather than relocating production elsewhere. The company frames its identity around continuity: three generations of the same family have overseen the brand since its founding in the early 1950s, combining handcraft techniques established by its founder with contemporary travel-luggage design, while retaining its Italian manufacturing base as it grew into an internationally distributed brand.
