CD Music Shop is a family-run business based in Prague's Hradcany district, opposite the Loreta shrine. It opened as a brick-and-mortar shop in February 1992 and added an online store, cdmusic.cz, in 1996 - one of the earlier Czech retailers to sell recordings internationally over the web. The shop specialises in building out a near-complete catalogue of Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk and classical music, including some 1,600-plus Czech classical titles from composers such as Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi, alongside jazz, pop, spoken-word audiobooks in Czech, film DVDs, books and sheet music. It is registered under proprietor Jana Orsulikova, trading as 'CDmusic.cz / Siroky dvur.' The physical shop keeps set hours and has been reviewed by visiting shoppers as a hard-to-find source for regional folk and classical recordings.
