Coffeeangel has operated in Dublin since 2004, building a ten-café chain around a straightforward supply-chain choice: rather than roasting in-house, its coffee is roasted weekly by Bailies in Belfast and delivered to Dublin within days, so the beans in the cup are rarely more than a week off the roaster. The company treats that short roast-to-cup window, more than any single blend, as its core differentiator.

The chain's newest location opened on Shelbourne Road, adding to nine existing Dublin cafés serving both house blends and rotating single-origin coffees. Coffeeangel also commits five percent of profits to local biodiversity initiatives — a specific, stated percentage rather than a vague sustainability claim — and offers free delivery across Ireland on orders over €35.

Two decades in, the chain's pitch remains narrow and consistent: fresh-roasted coffee delivered fast, from a named external roaster, across a small but growing number of company-run Dublin cafés.
