What Conserveira de Lisboa is known for
Opened in 1930 near the Baixa, Conserveira de Lisboa still wraps its tins of sardines, mackerel and cod roe by hand in paper printed from decades-old designs. The family running the shop today descends from the founders, and the narrow counter and stacked wooden crates look much as they did mid-century.
