The National Food Company has grown, cured and packed dates in A'Sailiya since 1997, turning out roughly 2,500 tonnes a year of Khalas, Ajwa, Medjool and Safawi. Its shop extends to date syrup, paste and butter, plus chocolate-coated fruit in gift boxes.
