Doha Roastery

Doha, Qatar

What Doha Roastery is known for

Founded in 2017 and guided by Qatari Q-grader Eisa Al Romaihi, Doha Roastery now runs five-plus branches sourcing single-origin microlots from nine countries. It is an active member of the Specialty Coffee Association and Cup of Excellence programmes.

Doha Roastery has operated since 2017, guided by Qatari Q-grader Eisa Al Romaihi, and has grown from a single roasting operation into more than five branches across Qatar. The company sources single-origin beans from a wide spread of growing regions — Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, India, Yemen and China's Yunnan province — and roasts them in-house rather than buying pre-roasted stock, a distinction that matters in a market where much specialty coffee arrives already finished.

As an active member of both the Specialty Coffee Association and the Cup of Excellence programme, Doha Roastery ties its sourcing to competition-graded and third-party-vetted lots rather than relying solely on its own tasting judgment. The roastery sells whole beans, drip pouches and capsules — a format range that covers both the ritual of hand-brewing and the convenience end of the market — alongside a Turkish coffee blend that nods to the region's own coffee tradition and premium loose-leaf matcha.

The company also runs a wholesale program supplying cafés, hotels and corporate clients across Qatar, extending the same microlot sourcing that defines its retail bags into the country's hospitality trade. For a market not historically associated with specialty roasting, Doha Roastery's expansion to five-plus branches in under a decade marks a fast build from a single Q-grader-led operation.
