Dynastar was formed in 1963 in the Chamonix valley through the association of two existing ski manufacturers, Dynamic and Starflex, with production centered in Sallanches at the base of Mont Blanc — where the brand still manufactures skis today through more than 50 production steps per pair. The brand, now part of the Rossignol Group, marked 60 years in 2023 with the launch of a new 'Hybrid Core 2.0' ski construction.
Dynastar's competitive history includes an Olympic downhill gold medal for Tommy Moe in 1994 and World Cup and World Championship results for skier Julien Lizeroux, giving the brand a documented racing pedigree behind its recreational lines.
