Hunkydory is a womenswear label founded in 1996 by Ulrika and Christopher Bjercke, a couple who met while studying design at Esmod in Paris. Because Christopher Bjercke is Norwegian, the label was originally set up in Norway; after gaining traction in the Swedish market, the founders relocated the company to Stockholm. Hunkydory began as a knitwear line, and knitwear has remained part of every collection since, with the brand's aesthetic evolving from Swedish minimalism toward a mix of military, rock and bohemian influences. The label is now sold in around 16 countries.
