Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

Joe's opened in 1996 inside a working Phillips 66 gas station at 47th and Mission Road, a setup that became as much a draw as the food itself and still draws lines for the Z-Man sandwich of smoked brisket, provolone, and onion rings. Every location the chain has since added smokes the same recipes developed at the original pumps-and-pit storefront.
