What Kakiemon Kiln is known for
This Arita-yaki kiln originated the Kakiemon overglaze enamel style, or aka-e, in the 17th century and holds Important Intangible Cultural Property status. Still led by the Sakaida Kakiemon lineage, it is known for Nizaka-white porcelain painted in delicate colored enamels.
