What Kala Raksha is known for
Kala Raksha is an artisan-founded trust that has preserved traditional Kutch embroidery and patchwork since 1993, running a heirloom textile museum alongside a production unit and shop at its solar-powered center in Sumrasar Sheikh, 25 km north of Bhuj. Its Artisan Design and Pricing Committees set the designs and fair wages, and its embroidered garments are also sold through Hotel Ilark in Bhuj and Rann Riders in Dasada.
