What Kaliningrad Amber Combine is known for
This state combine works the world's largest known amber deposit, extracting roughly 500 tons a year from reserves estimated at 56,000 tons and holding around 90 percent of the world's amber supply. Its own Amber Chamber, viewing platform, and gallery-shop sell everything from raw nuggets to gold- and silver-set jewellery from a catalogue of more than a thousand items.
