Kiso Ebiya has worked as a lacquer artisan workshop for around 160 years in Kiso-Fukushima, Nagano — the town regarded as the birthplace of Kiso lacquerware, not Fukushima Prefecture. It makes hinoki magewappa bentwood boxes and lacquer-coated chopsticks and tableware.
