What La Terza Coffee is known for
An Oakley artisan roaster and cafe focused on carefully sourced beans and precise small-batch roasting, with espresso blends and single origins. Bags and brewing equipment are available directly through its site.
La Terza Coffee has roasted in Cincinnati since 2001, under a name borrowed from the Italian idea of a "third place" — a space for community distinct from home or work. The current single-origin list draws lots from El Salvador, Honduras, Sumatra, Ethiopia, and Colombia, sorted by body rather than by roast level alone, from full to light. Cincinnati Magazine has called La Terza's coffee some of the best roasted in the city, a line the company now uses as its own pull quote. Beyond the roastery and coffee bar, La Terza runs a separate cafe under the name Luminary and offers wholesale and franchise support to other operators, extending its "Experience Intentional Coffee" pitch past its own storefronts. The company frames ethical sourcing as a throughline across every stage of production, from the relationship with growers to the cup poured at the counter, rather than a claim attached only to a subset of origins. Two decades in, it's grown from a single Cincinnati roaster into a small local network — bar, cafe, and wholesale line — built on the same sourcing standard throughout.
