What Lawrie Shabibi is known for
Lawrie Shabibi is a contemporary art gallery in Dubai's Alserkal Avenue warehouse district, founded in 2011 by William Lawrie and Asmaa Al-Shabibi and focused on emerging and historic Middle Eastern and North African artists. It runs its own Shopify-based store for editions and publications, and has placed works with institutions including the Guggenheim, Tate Modern, and LACMA.
