Narbona centers on a historic estancia founded in 1909 by Juan de Narbona on the banks of the Rio de la Plata near Carmelo, where it grows Tannat and other red varieties. The estate's dairy and almacen are known across Uruguay for artisanal dulce de leche and aged cheeses sold under the Narbona name.
