Orgueil (French for 'pride') is a menswear line launched in 2012 by Studio D'Artisan, one of the 'Osaka Five' denim makers. Its collections combine early-20th-century European tailoring details with American workwear silhouettes, using heavyweight selvedge denim alongside details such as rounded pockets, coconut-shell or nut buttons, and cinch backs on jackets and trousers. Everything is made in Japan. The line's own site, orgueil.jp, functions mainly as a product catalog of jeans, trousers, jackets, gilets, shirts and cut-and-sew pieces, with checkout routed through Studio D'Artisan's own online shop, and it is also carried by specialist heritage-menswear retailers internationally such as Clutch Cafe and Frans Boone.
