帛巴瑞蜡染馆 (Pobarey Batik Museum & Experience Gallery)

Anshun, in China's Guizhou province, is one of the historic centers of Miao, Buyi and Yao wax-resist batik-making, and Pobarey's museum and experience gallery is built around that inheritance. The core collection runs past 700 pieces of wax-resist textile work drawn from those three traditions, displayed alongside a working experience hall where visitors can try the craft themselves rather than just view it behind glass. Classes run from introductory indigo-dyeing and hand-drawing sessions up to more advanced instruction — the site's own program history includes an advanced autumn batik-making course for visitors who want to go beyond a single afternoon workshop. Pobarey operates more than one site in the city, including a branch inside the Gu family's former residence, folding the craft into a piece of local architectural heritage rather than treating it as a stand-alone attraction. The attached shop sells the results: hand-woven batik fabric worked into scarves, bags and other cultural-creative goods, plus a small indigo-themed coffee corner for visitors who want to linger. It's a working museum model — collection, classroom and shop under one roof — built specifically around Guizhou's minority textile traditions rather than a generic craft-shop format.
