Founded in 1880 by Maria Longworth Nichols, Rookwood is an American art pottery famed for its matte and flambe glazes and architectural tile, now hand-thrown and glazed again in a restored Over-the-Rhine factory. It produces vases, ornaments and custom tile alongside a museum-grade archive of its historic forms.
