What SARRAN is known for
Thai jewelry house founded 2008 by artist Sarran Youkongdee, known for art-to-wear pieces; flagship studio opened at River City Bangkok's art mall in April 2024.
SARRAN is a Thai jewelry house founded in 2008 by artist Sarran Youkongdee, who works in an "art-to-wear" style treating jewelry as wearable sculpture rather than conventional adornment, often built around flower and nature motifs. Youkongdee's work has drawn international recognition, including the MAD Museum New York/Tiffany & Co. Foundation Award in 2018, and wider visibility after BLACKPINK member Lisa wore one of the brand's headpieces in the music video for her 2021 solo single "Lalisa." In April 2024, SARRAN opened its first flagship, called "Life Studio," at River City Bangkok, a riverside art-and-antiques complex on Charoen Krung Road - the brand's inaugural dedicated retail space since its founding. Roughly twice the size of the brand's earlier space, the two-floor studio was designed by the Paris-based architecture firm RDAI and blends contemporary lines with Thai vernacular details: bamboo screening, locally woven carpets, and a curved, champagne-toned facade. The space combines showroom and workshop functions, including a tea lounge for clients, and displays collections such as The Ambassador and Oriental Blue alongside a signature "Made in Soul" perfume line. Product categories span earrings, rings, necklaces, bangles, ear cuffs, hairpieces and pins.
