Sneark S.r.l. is a startup formally established on 2 August 2023 in Agrigento, Sicily, founded by architect Calogero 'Lello' Romano. Its stated mission is to produce sneakers made entirely from natural, biodegradable materials - hemp, cork, coconut fibers and vegetable-tanned leather, including a partnership with tanner Ecotan for a biocircular leather. The company has been recognized locally for sustainability, including a 'Top of the PID' first prize and recognition from environmental group Legambiente, and was featured among six emerging labels in the Italian Trade Agency's Young Italian Start Up program at Pitti Uomo. Its current lineup centers on two models, the ARK 70 and the 1991, both priced at 320 euros.
