What Sonali Dharmawardena is known for
Sonali Dharmawardena came to batik after working in pottery and jewellery and in fine art in oils and watercolour. She works natural fabric with wax as a resist and dye to create her own signature lines, fusing traditional Sri Lankan technique with new methods. The Sonali Dharmawardena and Acushla labels are both her registered trademarks.
