Tasting hall of Uzbek wines and cognacs

The tasting hall sits inside 'Eternal City,' a themed historical and ethnographic complex built in 2022 as part of the SilkRoad Samarkand resort in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The complex, designed by artist Bobur Ismoilov, spans 17 hectares and recreates streetscapes evoking several of Uzbekistan's historic regions and cities -- including Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Tashkent, Khorezm, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Karakalpakstan -- within a single site, alongside craft shops, food stalls and performance spaces. The wine-and-cognac tasting hall is listed among the complex's cafes on the resort's own site, open daily from 12:00 pm to midnight, and serves wines and cognacs produced within Uzbekistan rather than an international selection. Eternal City's tasting hall positions itself as an introduction to Uzbekistan's domestic wine and brandy production for resort visitors, set alongside the complex's other food-and-drink venues rather than functioning as a standalone specialist wine shop.
