The PDKF Store was founded by Princess Gauravi Kumari and Claire Deroo as the retail arm of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, a Rajasthan-based non-profit focused on grassroots artisan empowerment. The store operates from a space inside Jaipur's City Palace and sells ready-to-wear clothing, bags, home goods and accessories built around traditional Jaipuri hand block-printing techniques. The foundation's PDKF Artisan Collective has brought together more than 70 women artisans representing over 40 craft forms from more than 20 Indian states. Coverage frames the store as part of a deliberate effort to keep block-printing and related handwork commercially viable for the women who practice it.
