What Tingatinga Arts Cooperative Society is known for
The Tingatinga Arts Cooperative Society, based on Haile Selassie Road near Shrijees Supermarket in Dar es Salaam's Msasani Peninsula, sells Tingatinga-style paintings from its showroom and takes custom work on canvas, mugs, hangers, walls and cars. Its leadership includes chairman Rubuni Rashid, secretary Witness Kimaro and treasurer Akilimali Issa, and its portfolio lists 20 named artists including Mimus and Zuberi.
