Toko Buku Kobam Menteng

Toko Buku Kobam Menteng is the second retail branch of Komunitas Bambu, an Indonesian publisher specializing in history books, and it opened on February 16, 2025 at Jalan Rembang No. 11 in Menteng, Central Jakarta. The shop stocks primarily Komunitas Bambu's own catalog: histories of the 1965-66 mass killings and the New Order period, Chinese-Indonesian minority history, women's and sexuality history, regional and Islamic history, biographies, plus fiction, poetry, and translated foreign works. A small cafe inside serves coffee sourced from various Indonesian regions, and a front yard functions as an informal reading and discussion space; the store also hosts historical walking tours, book discussions, and reading-club events.
