Twinset

Twinset (marketed as Twinset Simona Barbieri) was founded in the early 1990s in Carpi, a town near Modena long associated with Italy's knitwear industry, by designer Simona Barbieri with entrepreneur Tiziano Sgarbi. Barbieri, herself from Carpi, began sewing in a family garage before formal design training, then launched the label drawing on the area's textile know-how. Knitwear remains the core of the brand: garments are produced at the Carpi site, with attention to embroidery, hand-applied detailing and dyeing techniques alongside industrial production. The label's signature product is the two-piece knit set that gives it its name, paired with lace-trimmed and body-conscious pieces.
