Vero Profumo is a Swiss niche perfume line founded in 2007 by Vero Kern (1940-2018), a Zurich-born perfumer trained in aromatherapy and later in fragrance composition in Paris. Kern spent about five years developing her first three extraits de parfum - Onda, Kiki and Rubj - with Onda, meaning 'wave' in Italian, becoming her best-known creation, a woody-spicy composition built on leather, patchouli and castoreum. An eau de parfum line followed in 2010. Kern worked from the outset with Campomarzio70, the Rome-based niche-perfumery retailer and distributor, which handled global distribution and has continued representing the brand since Kern's death in December 2018.
