What Zindros - House of Byzantine Icons is known for
Dimitrios Zindros opened this icon workshop in a small room in Meteora in 1974, and it has since grown into one of Greece's most recognized producers of hand-copied Byzantine icons and ecclesiastical items. Its hagiographers still follow the compositional rules and egg-tempera methods of Byzantine iconography while blending in modern production techniques for church and private commissions.
