ZudRangMa Records

ZudRangMa Records was established in Bangkok in 2008 by Nat Siangsukon, a DJ and record collector known as Maft Sai. The shop grew alongside Paradise Bangkok, a club night Siangsukon launched with business partner Chris Menist in 2009, and the two ventures share both name recognition and a musical mission: unearthing and reissuing overlooked Thai popular music from the 1960s and 70s, particularly molam (a folk-derived genre from Thailand's Isan region), luk thung (Thai country/pop), and homegrown funk, alongside imported vinyl spanning genres and continents. The shop functions as much as an informal archive of Golden-era Thai pop as a retail outlet, and its affiliated label — an offshoot of the Paradise Bangkok imprint — has released reissue compilations that introduced international listeners to Thai psychedelic and funk records previously circulated only among specialist collectors. The Vinyl Factory profiled the shop in its 'world's best record shops' series, crediting it with reviving interest in mo lam specifically. Located in Bangkok's Watthana district, the shop combines crate-digging retail with DJ culture tied to the city's underground club scene.
