What A1 Chikki is known for
Started in the 1950s by Dev Shankarji Vyas and later expanded by his son Rameshji Vyas, A1 Chikki operates from the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway in Lonavala, a stretch long associated with the town's chikki trade. The shop makes its peanut, cashew and sesame brittle by hand without machinery, and extends into sugar-free versions and rose, cardamom and saffron-flavoured chikki alongside chocolate-walnut and dark chocolate fudge.
