What Allpa is known for
Allpa was started by Lima sociologists Nelly Cánepa and María del Carmen de la Fuente after years spent traveling Peru's regions and working directly with artisan cooperatives on pottery, textiles and home decor. As a member of the World Fair Trade Organization, the company ties its product design to fair pay and long-term capacity-building with the makers behind each piece.
