What AMPELMANN Berlin is known for
AMPELMANN grew out of a campaign to save East Berlin's beloved traffic-light figure, the Ampelmannchen, after reunification, and now stamps the little green and red man onto bags, lamps, sweets and homeware. Its shops across the city, including the flagship near Hackescher Markt, are a design-led ode to a piece of GDR street furniture.
