Art Miras is a ceramics shop in Tashkent, located at the Chorsu market complex, that curates and sells work by potters from Rishtan, a town on the historic Silk Road in Uzbekistan's Fergana Valley long associated with ceramic craftsmanship. Named makers whose work the store carries include Ismoiljon Komilov, Mavsumjon and Shakhboz Mamazhonov, brothers Vahobjon and Odiljon Azizov, and brothers Bekzod and Bunyod Yunusov. Rishtan ceramics are distinguished by a glaze technique using local mineral ingredients, producing the region's signature blue and green tones, most notably an 'ishkor' blue made using minerals found only in that area; potters in the tradition have worked the craft for close to 800 years.
