What Association des sculpteurs d'Hapatoni is known for
Hapatoni on Tahuata is the Marquesas' village of sculptors, and this association is its collective hand — rosewood, bone and stone carved along the royal paved road by the sea. Their own site, kept simply, is the door; the village itself is the atelier.
