The original Cikini café occupies a colonial-era shop building in the historic Menteng district, next to the Taman Ismail Marzuki performing arts center — a location that ties the business physically to Jakarta's colonial-era commercial architecture rather than a generic modern café buildout. A second, newer location in Bintaro Sektor 7, Tangerang Selatan, was designed by Andra Matin, a named Indonesian architect, around a tropical minimalist aesthetic with vertical greenery and what the company calls an "under the tree" concept — a deliberate contrast to the heritage building housing the original café. The Bintaro location also runs activity-based programming, including traditional games and yoga sessions, positioning it as a gathering space rather than a pure coffee counter.
