What Bukchon Traditional Craft Center is known for
Workshop and shop for traditional Korean crafts in Bukchon. Hands-on classes in pottery, knot-making, paper crafts, and hanji. Take home a piece you made yourself.
The center is a Seoul public-hanok craft facility at 24-5 Bukchon-ro 12-gil, where visitors can try traditional making rather than only browse finished souvenirs. Current programs include activities such as handkerchief dyeing, hanji accessories and decorative knot work, with offerings rotating by program and season. Its value is practical participation inside Bukchon’s hanok district: visitors handle materials, follow a guided craft process and leave with something made during the session rather than treating the center as another conventional retail stop.
