C.O.F. Studio ('Circle of Friends') was founded in 2013 by Per Fredriksson, a Swedish denim-industry veteran whose career began in a Swedish denim shop in 1978. Fredriksson spent roughly eighteen years studying Italian textile and garment craftsmanship before launching his own line. The brand's name reflects that model directly: C.O.F. Studio is built on trusted, named collaborators rather than anonymous contract manufacturing, and the company screen-prints the full list of manufacturers involved in each garment on the inside of the piece. The company is registered as C.O.F. Apparel AB at Polhemsgatan 13 in Stockholm.
