Camiceria Piccirillo

Camiceria Maurizio Piccirillo is run by Maurizio Piccirillo, who grew up in Naples' historic center in a family of tailors and entered the trade at a young age, eventually taking responsibility for factory production within the local shirtmaking sector before establishing his own house under his name. His wife, Ilaria, a skilled embroiderer, has worked alongside him in the company's production for more than twenty years, handling the decorative hand-embroidery — monograms, buttonholes and finishing details — associated with Neapolitan shirtmaking. The workshop follows the construction conventions of the city's tailoring tradition: shirts are built from selected fabrics and sewn largely by hand, with attention to the shoulder seam, collar construction and fit associated with Naples' shirtmaking houses, a category that also includes better-known names such as Salvatore Piccolo and Camiceria Piccolo, cited alongside Piccirillo as part of the same local craft lineage.
