Started in Canela in 1982 and based in Gramado since 2001, Caracol makes chocolate from the bean using only cocoa butter and milk fat, with no hydrogenated fats. The company describes itself as the region's first chocolate manufacturer and sells bars, bonbons and gift boxes.
