Founded in 1991 by farming families of the Genal Valley, this cooperative processes and markets the valley's sweet chestnuts under the Valgenal name. The nuts are sterilised, sorted, naturally cured, brushed and waxed at its main facility in Pujerra, with an affiliated cooperative in Jubrique.
