What Cellini Signature is known for
A Doha bespoke menswear and tailoring house. The current mall listing identifies the physical fashion shop.
Cellini Signature was founded in Doha in 1999 by Ghazi Al Mannai, whose vision for the brand traces to a trip to Italy in 1984, where he struck up a friendship with a boutique owner named Alessandro in a small spa town. Al Mannai has described that encounter as the spark for building a Qatari retail business run on the same standards of craft and service he encountered there. Cellini's core project has been the modernization of the thobe, the traditional ankle-length garment worn across the Gulf, reworking it through an expanded range of cuts, fabrics, colors, and patterns while keeping its essential form intact — treating a garment often mass-produced elsewhere as a made-to-measure fashion object instead. Al Mannai has maintained close ties to Italy for three decades, traveling there monthly to source fabrics from mills including Loro Piana and Thomas Mason, and sending in-house tailors to train directly with Italian fashion houses rather than relying on imported finished goods alone. He frames the business around three stated principles — passion for fashion, commitment to quality, and attentive service — with an emphasis on letting clients follow their garment through its making, from fabric and buttons to thread, rather than simply buying off a rack. That approach built Cellini into what trade press has described as Qatar's leading name in luxury tailored menswear.
