What Champagne Bollinger is known for
Founded in Aÿ in 1829 by Athanase de Villermont, Jacques Bollinger, and Paul Renaudin, the house remains one of the few large Champagne producers still privately owned. It grows pinot noir in its own Aÿ and Cuis parcels, ferments in barrel, and recently opened the 'Nouveau Cellier,' a production facility built open onto the vines.
Best for — Structured pinot-led champagne and La Grande Année.
