What Colmar is known for
Founded in Monza on 31 October 1923 by newlyweds Mario and Irma Colombo, who began making felt gaiters from defective wool cones; the name is an acronym of 'Colombo Mario.' It developed technical ski wear for speed-skiing champion Leo Gasperl in the 1930s.
