Dev's Coorg Spices

Dev's Coorg Spices is a family-run general store in Hudikeri Belloor, near Virajpet, started in 2021 by Bollimada Sachin, known locally as Binu, to bring Kodagu produce to doorsteps that had no easy access to it. What began as a door-to-door spice and grocery delivery service has grown into a wide-ranging catalogue: black pepper and other Coorg spices, homemade pickles, forest honey, coffee and tea powder, ghee and cooking oil, and homemade wine made to family recipes. Alongside the produce of the plantation belt sit more everyday staples — dairy, bread, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables — plus regional specialties like Coorg jackfruit seeds and dry fruits sourced from Jammu & Kashmir, baked goods, personal-care items and even books, making the shop as much a neighbourhood general store as a spice specialist. Every order ships out from the shop itself with door-to-door delivery, the model the business was built on, and larger orders above ₹50,000 qualify for free delivery. It is a small operation — reachable directly by phone or email rather than through a large retail apparatus — but one that reflects how home-based Kodagu producers have moved their trade online without losing the door-to-door delivery habit that defined it before the internet.
